CNA to LVN
The “equivalency method”, as outlined by the BVNPT, (California State Bureau of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians), permits licensed Certified Nursing Assistants who have had extensive bedside nursing care experience, plus a limited amount of formal education, to demonstrate that they have acquired sufficient basic nursing knowledge and skills to be eligible for the NCLEX-PN licensure examination.
Our focus is in the Medical field, enabling C.N.A.’s who wish to utilize their experience, in accordance with BVNPT Rules and Regulations, to become Vocational Nurses. California Preparatory College offers a 54-hour Pharmacology course which will satisfy one requirement. It will also qualify graduates to work as Pharmacy Assistants if they desire. In addition, the NCLEX-PN Review course offered by California Preparatory College will prepare qualified candidates to take the California State Licensing Exam.
